Our Projects

CCMS is proud to be involved in the Trentham community. We help with many projects that benefit residents and other Trentham community groups. Here are a few we have completed.

Trentham heritage station sign
Trentham Station Signs

The two Trentham station signs were dismantled and refreshed at the Shed. This included removing each of the metal letters, replacing the fasteners and repainting them.

The aged hardwood boards were replaced using repurposed timber sourced from an old table tennis table recovered from the Trentham Mechanics Hall.

Historical Society Table & Seats

Shed members built a picnic table with two bench seats and designed to cater for wheelchair access.

A sturdy metal structure was assembled enabling hardwood timber boards to be attached to the steel structure, resulting in an attractive setting that was installed by Shed members in readiness for the formal opening of the restored Historical Society site in Camp Street.

Nesting Boxes

The Hepburn Shire Council approached the Shed to build and paint 150 nesting boxes based on two designs for the benefit of the wildlife habitat that was impacted by the wild storm that swept through Trentham in June 2021.

Shed members took on the challenge and delivered the nesting boxes from the pine timber that was milled from storm fallen trees.

This rewarding project enabled the Hepburn Shire to provide the nesting boxes to interested land owners for installation on their property.

Wooden toy boxes made for the Trentham Early Learning Centre
Trentham Early Learning Centre Wood Toys

A number of wooden box toys were built for the Early Learning Centre based on various designs requested by the Trentham Kindergarten.

Once the timber was cut and assembled, the toys were given a protective coating for use by the children in their outside activities.

This project was well received by the Early Learning Centre and provides the children with many hours of enjoyment.
